Correct installation method of explosion-proof camera

Some special industries, such as petroleum, chemicals, natural gas and other industrial enterprises, may leak and spill a variety of flammable and explosive gases, liquids and various types of gases and liquids during experiments, production, processing, transportation and storage. Dust and fibers are prone to explosions and fires, causing heavy losses to the country and people.

The huge fire and explosion in Tianjin Port on August 12, the explosion in Xiangshui, Jiangsu on March 21, and the major explosion in Yima Gasification Plant on July 19. These major accidents have sounded the alarm for us.

It is necessary to install explosion-proof cameras in these special industries. Explosion-proof cameras are a cross-product of the explosion-proof industry and the surveillance industry. Its installation is very particular. How to install it to maximize its effect?

1. Installation site selection
On the premise of meeting the installation requirements, it is best to avoid places with complicated light receiving positions and avoid completely black objects, water and other objects that absorb infrared light in the field of view, so as not to affect the monitoring screen. In addition, pay attention to moisture-proof, dust-proof, anti-corrosion, lightning protection, and avoid places with moisture, dust, high temperature or extreme cold, strong radiation, etc.

2. Installation angle
The overhead angle is the most commonly used for explosion-proof cameras. It is concealed and has good macroscopic observation effects. The horizontal angle installation makes it easier to see some details. There are very few installations that use upward viewing, and the requirements for the light adaptability of explosion-proof cameras are also very high.

3. Reasonable wiring
Build on the original network foundation, choose appropriate wiring, do not let signal lines and high-power wires transmit in the same direction, and do not put them in the same transmission line tube. It is best to use hidden wires. If there is no way to use open wires, physical protection of the wires must be done.

4. Seal the cable inlet
The cable inlet of the explosion-proof camera must be sealed with a rubber sealing ring. It is prohibited to use other methods such as filling sealing putty or asbestos rope instead; it is prohibited to fill the cavity with any substance, which will lose the explosion-proof performance; the oil on the rubber sealing ring should be scrubbed clean to avoid Aging and deterioration.

5. It is strictly prohibited to modify the camera
It is strictly prohibited to arbitrarily modify the structure, parts and internal circuits of the explosion-proof camera. The fastening bolts must not be arbitrarily replaced or missing. The elastic sealing gasket and metal gasket of the excess inlet and outlet must remain sealed at the factory, and the compression nut should be tightened to seal the inlet.

6. Daily maintenance
When encountering bad weather, check the lightning protection effect of the explosion-proof camera in advance; pay attention to moisture and dust protection at ordinary times, and wipe it regularly; during inspection, try to avoid opening the explosion-proof camera casing, and cut off the power supply first when it must be opened. If the explosion-proof shell is opened, the explosion-proof surface should be properly protected and not damaged. During maintenance, the explosion-proof surface should be placed upward and should not be in direct contact with the ground.

We hope that in the future, explosion-proof technology will be more powerful and can perform a variety of behavior detection, anomaly detection, intelligent identification, statistical analysis, early warning, etc., so as to reduce the occurrence of accidents and avoid casualties and property losses.
